New Beginnings: Introducing Women Changemakers for Education

Updated: Jul 4, 2023

We are delighted to share some important news! Since the inception of Empowered to Educate in 2020, we have been a program of a larger 501c3 called United Planet….this has served us very well while we piloted our program in Ghana and made plans for our global growth. We will always be grateful for our incubation period.

BUT…we are now our own independent 501c3 with a new name, a new logo, a new look, and the same very wonderful program. Say hello to: Women Changemakers For Education (www.change4ed.org)! We will continue the women’s empowerment and girls’ education legacy. According to Alum Jennifer De-Graft Ninson: “It's been a wonderful journey of networking and learning from amazing, strong, industrious, thoughtful and beautiful nine women and their leadership. The leadership training sessions gave me more insights, the mentors that guided our work and the stories shared motivated me, and my favorite moments; the questions asked about my initiatives opened my mind and eyes to better ways of approaching the impactful work I do. All these were out-of-the-world experiences I hold close to my heart.”

We hope you will hold Women Changemakers for Education close to your hearts as we continue this important leadership journey.
